LOCAL business owners will have an opportunity to work with Leo Burnett Group Malaysia on their brand campaigns for free.

The brand agency will be organising its “FreeLB” project -- which invites companies and businesses to submit a compelling and creative brief to win a international standard brand campaign strategy designed by Leo Burnett Malaysia.

Chief executive officer Tan Kien Eng said in a statement: “The FreeLB project is one way we are giving back to Malaysian brands and in the process, continue to raise the standards of advertising in Malaysia.”

The selected company will be awarded RM100,000 worth of strategic and creative services to develop a campaign in creating a HumanKind brand, which instils an in-depth process of understanding people and the environment which then inspires work that strikes an emotional chord to change people’s behaviour.

Tan said the campaign is based on the premise that “creativity has the power to change behaviour”, it advocates creating acts, ideas and experiences that matter to people.

“At Leo Burnett, our creative success comes from our ability to put people first. In doing so, we are able to help brands unlock their true value by discovering their human purpose.

“We are looking forward to receiving a good number of creative brief submissions as well as fostering long-term relationships with these companies who are keen and open to a different approach in achieving their business objectives.”

He insisted this project offers a world class creative campaign to the winning company with no strings attached.
