4As names 30 of Malaysia's top brands
KUALA LUMPUR: The Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As) has named 30 brands as Malaysia's most valuable brands for 2012.
They are Affin Bank, AirAsia, Alliance Bank, AmBank, Bonia, Celcom, CIMB, DiGi, Dutch Lady, F&N, IOI Group, Maxis, Maybank, Old Town White Coffee, Padini, Parkson, Perodua, Petronas, Premier, Public Bank, Resorts World, RHB, SP Setia, Sime Darby, Sin Chew Daily, Sunway, The Star, TM, TV3 and YTL.
The ranking order according to value with the respective brand valuation will be announced at a dinner on October 17 where Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will be the guest of honour.
MMVB measured the financial value of brands originating in Malaysia with a public-listed parent based on three primary components -- financial forecast, role of brand, and brand strength.
"Brands are economic assets that play major role in shaping a country’s fiscal health," says Jennifer Chan, Organising Chairperson of MMVB 2012.
"This year’s top ranked brands have a captivating and inspiring story to tell. Through publicly available data, they have revealed themselves in their systems and processes. Their success has real meaning – and it comes from the core of what they represent as a brand," she said in a statement today. -- BERNAMA
