Talk Focus to invest RM25m in 100 concept stores
PETALING JAYA: Talk Focus Sdn Bhd, the newest mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in the country, plans to invest about RM25 million to open 100 concept stores nationwide in the next 18 months.
"However, it depends on the availablity of space," its chief executive officer Steven Loke said. .He said each outlet would cost about RM250,000.
The company now has two Tron Concept Stores at Sunway Pyramid and Tropicana City Mall.Yesterday, Talk Focus officially activated "Tron", a new cellular network service provider offering a unique voice and data pay plan.
Loke said Tron is the first in Malaysia to offer an unconditional 365-day validity for top-ups in addition to rewards for subscribers for using their mobile devices with redeemable Tron Points that can be used to buy a wide range of items.
"We know that Malaysians love a good deal and have been looking for a mobile service, which offers affordability, connectivity and rewards usage in interesting ways, all in convenient way," he said.
Loke said Talk Focus is targeting at least 100,000 subscribers by end of next year and expand up to 2,000 dealers in the Tron Network and Concept Stores nationwide.
In line with its tagline "Life.On", Tron will facilitate the mobile lifestyle of its subscribers by connecting them to a dedicated self-care web portal cum social media platform at www.tron.com.my, which will also keep subscribers updated on merchant discounts and perks."The portal will integrate all apss, services and social media platforms into a single convenient interface, offering subscribers a revolutionary way to use their mobile devices," Loke said.
Talk Focus intends to grow the average revenue per user (ARPU) by leveraging the growing use of mobile Internet and smart devices,, particularly among young Malaysians, who are heavy users of social media.
