UDA Mall to expand network

JOHOR BARU: UDA Mall Bhd aims to create a network of shopping complexes nationwide to compete with existing malls, said assistant general manager Hasnizi Fauzi.

UDA Mall currently has three shopping complexes - Plaza Angsana Johor Baru; Plaza Ampangan, Seremban; and Green Town Mall, Ipoh.

"We aim to open another shopping complex in Perlis," he told reporters after the pre-launch of the new logo for Plaza Angsana, which is now known as Angsana Johor Baru Mall.

The ceremony was officiated by UDA Holdings Bhd group managing director Ahmad Abu Bakar on behalf of UDA Holdings Bhd chairman Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed.

The other two malls managed by UDA Holdings Bhd will also use the new name and logo - Green Town Mall is renamed Angsana Ipoh Mall while Plaza Ampangan will be known as Angsana Seremban Mall.

UDA Mall is also upgrading amenities at Angsana Johor Baru Mall in four phases.

Phase One, begun early last year, involves upgrading the prayer rooms and toilets, while Phase Two involves upgrading amenities in the mall building at a cost of RM2 million, a project which is 60 per cent completed. Bernama
