Petronas Dagangan Bhd redesigns Kedai Mesra

KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Dagangan Bhd (PDB) has launched the new design for its Petronas stations, in line with its pledge to offer customers greater convenience and comfort.

PDB has now pushed the bar on customer experience a notch higher by making bold and evolutionary changes in the Petronas stations by including energy-saving and safety-enhancing concepts.

"As PDB ramps up its retail network to attain market leadership, it is only apt that we re-image our stations in line with the growth momentum and take the lead with the latest trends, PDB managing director and chief executive Amir Hamzah Azizan said during the launch at Petronas station in Sri Hartamas here on Monday.

"Today's launch is part of PDB's commitment to continually upgrade our facilities to set industry standards and reinforce Petronas position as the brand of first choice," he added.

PDB has made a concerted decision to switch to LED lighting, which provides brighter and longer lasting options, for the new concept of Petronas stations.

The new lighting is environmentally efficient, making it a "greener" option, Amir Hamzah said.

Furthermore, the company has remodeled some of the features around the station to increase the safety aspect for the benefit of customers.

Petronas Dagangan Bhd, the national oil corporation Petronas' retail arm, has revamped the Kedai Mesra design to provide easier access to the aisles and offer a customer-friendly layout.

The floor-to-ceiling glass panels have -now been replaced by half-brick model as part of its safety enhancement features.

"This makeover of our Petronas station at Sri Hartamas will set the trend for the rest of our stations nationwide.

"Going forward, we will progressively make over all our stations in phases, over the next few years," he added.
